About the tournament

Queen Masters is the closed women’s tournament of the Chess Slovak Open festival. It is played by invitation of the organiser under the round-robin system – every player meets every other player – with classical time control and FIDE rating. The tournament was held for the first time in 2026. The exact conditions of each edition are set by that year’s regulations.

Chess Slovak Open 2027

The 9th edition of Chess Slovak Open takes place on 21–29 August 2027 at the House of Culture, Skalica. The 2027 tournament programme, fields, conditions, entry fees and prizes will be published in the 2027 regulations; registration is not open yet.

Whether and in what form the Queen Masters will be played in 2027, including its field and conditions, has not been announced yet.

Venue – House of Culture, Skalica

The tournaments were played in Skalica’s historic House of Culture. The Art Nouveau building’s massive walls help maintain a naturally comfortable indoor temperature even during the summer.

The 2027 edition will also take place at the House of Culture, Skalica.
