Chess Slovak Open® 2026 unveils a star of the closed women’s Queen Masters tournament. WGM Olga Sikorová is heading to Skalica – the tournament’s top seed and one of the most successful Czech women players.
A six-time Czech champion
Olga Sikorová (born 4 March 1975) has won the Czech Women’s Championship in classical chess six times (between 2000 and 2018) and has added multiple national titles in rapid and blitz. She earned the Woman Grandmaster (WGM) title in 2013 and her current rating is 2205.
A team stalwart and 50+ World Champion
Sikorová has been a fixture of the Czech national team continuously since 2000. She won two individual bronze medals at the European Women’s Team Championships (2005 and 2013), and in 2025 she became a team World Champion in the women’s 50+ category.
Queen Masters 2026 in Skalica
The Queen Masters 2026 is a closed, invitational women’s round-robin within the Chess Slovak Open® 2026 festival, categorised for WIM norms. The festival takes place 22–30 August 2026 at the House of Culture in Skalica.
